Evolution
If it wasn't for photography, it's safe to say that my life would be entirely different. Today was confirmation of that for sure. Nyae hit me for a shoot and we linked as we always do but today had a different energy and vibe. I knew that this session would be different. I made a new white V-flat to reflect the light and subtracted the light from the right side of the scene. I tried something that I never tried before by stacking the light on the right side with a small umbrella with diffusion and then a second light slightly to the right of it with a different temperature than the first.
PAUSE! Yeah, I just let my mind break free of all the things that made sense and went with the feel of the shoot and what felt right. The last light/modifier used was about 2 feet above head feathered and slightly angled downward. The rest was history. I really like how the shots came out and the mood was really dope. Nyae was speachless with the results and how I came up with this on the fly. I always remind myself to leave room in the creative process for whatever comes to you. Most of the time that's the part that really makes shots great!
