This light is a BEAST!
So the topic that's always on every photographers mind is EQUIPMENT! Every blog and social media group that I wonder in and through is always talking about the latest and greatest equipment. I picked up one of these lights back in early 2018 and it changed my lighting game forever! I actually shot all four volumes of Destined and also over 500 shoots using the Neewer Vision 4. This is a compact and versatile light that's easy to carry and packs a big punch when creating the light you need in many situations.
At 300 Watts I wasn't expecting TOO much but its performance really impressed me.
Although there's a lot of positive things about this light I could say, there are some key points that could make this the ultimate cordless light.
- The modeling lamp only stays on about 20 seconds and if you don't have an extra battery on hand, you may find yourself hearing the battery low beeping sound right before you finish your shoot.
- Another thing that I came across was that the light will overheat when you're really in a groove with shots, causing you to stop and give the light time to regroup before continuing to shoot. Sometimes a good work around to finish your shoot is to have a sync cable to finish things off but if that doesn't work, having a backup light will always be the best solution.
